College Challenge Program

For High School Students

The College Challenge Program is a partnership program that enables qualified high school students to earn Indiana State credit in general education courses taught at their local high school.

This program is available at selected high schools. For a list, visit participating high schools.

The College Challenge Program is ideal for students who want to earn high school and college credit simultaneously for each course completed. Courses are taught in the student's high school by high school teachers approved to teach college-level courses. All courses are arranged within each student's regular schedule (not outside of regular school hours).

The program enables high school students to:

  1. Earn college credit while still in high school.
  2. Discover an additional intellectual challenge.
  3. Test their ability to do college-level academic work.
  4. Ease the transition from high school to college.
  5. Reduce the duplication of classes which can occur between the last year of high school and the first year of college.
