Biography

Lieutenant Colonel Kary Randall “Randy” Schramm is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 218, Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana.  Detachment 218’s mission is to recruit, educate, train, motivate, select and commission officer candidates through a comprehensive college program.  To provide academic instruction on fundamental Air Force doctrine, practical leadership experience, and extensive field training emphasizing physical fitness and officership to prepare future officers for active duty.

Colonel Schramm received his commission after completing the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps program at the University of Minnesota. He entered active duty in 1989 and has served in a variety of operations, staff, and headquarters positions.  Prior to his current assignment Colonel Schramm was the Deputy Director, 509th Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems Squadron, 526th ICBM System Group, Hill AFB, Utah.
