PROGRAMS - Graphic Design Courses (ARTD)
 

220 Graphic Design I : 3 hours. Typography and design techniques. Introduction to formal values of visual communication and use of the computer for graphic design. Prerequisites: 101, 102, and 104; or consent of instructor.
   
321 Graphic Design II : 3 hours. Principles of multipage design on the computer, approaches to illustration, and preparation of finished art for printing. May be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: 220 or consent of instructor.
   
322 Graphic Design III : 3 hours. Experiences in graphic design and graphic processes. Prerequisites: 220 and 321, or consent of instructor.
   
400K Art Workshop : 1-9 hours. Specialized training in some form of the visual arts.
   
420 Graphic Design IV :
3 hours. Specialized problems in design and illustration on the computer. Prerequisites: 220 and 321; and 322 taken concurrently or before; or consent of instructor.
   
421 Graphic Design V : 3 hours. Advanced problems in graphic design principles, computer graphic design, and reproduction processes. May be repeated once for credit. Prerequisites: 220, 321, 322, and 420 or consent of instructor.
   
422 Special Problems in Graphic Design : 1-6 hours. Special supplementary problems to improve proficiency in graphic design and computer graphics. Prerequisite: 420 or consent of instructor.
