Biography for Larry Montgomery

In August, 2004 Larry Montgomery was named Regional Director of College Cooperative Southeast (CCS), a collaboration between two-year and four-year institutions of higher education. The organization's mission is to expand postsecondary educational opportunities for citizens of southeastern Indiana.

Larry MontgomeryPrior to this position, Montgomery served as director of Adult Education for southeast Indiana. He has worked at four Fortune 500 companies which provided extensive operational and management experiences in the positions of plant manager, senior manufacturing manager, manager of quality assurance and engineering.

He has taught in public schools in California and Indiana and has been an adjunct instructor for the Purdue School for Technology. He earned a BS degree in education from Ball State University and an MS degree from Indiana University.

CCS is an integral community component in 10 southeast Indiana counties with a staff of 18 full and part-time coordinators. It provides individualized attention and services to students by helping them gain access to certification and postsecondary degree programs.

Montgomery said, "College Cooperative Southeast Coordinators give you individual assistance to create postsecondary opportunities in Southeast Indiana.  The services provided by CCS include course research, enrollment services, proctoring exams, technical support for distance classes, and guidance in finding information on student loans and financial aid."
