After you log on to Blackboard, enter the class that you want to add an assessment, and click on Control Panel located in the lower left of the screen.

You can add a quiz or test in various areas within Blackboard. Basically, wherever you find the Test icon, you can add a test. This means you could have tests in assignments, a learning unit, a folder, etc. However wherever you select to place your tests or quizzes the best thing you can do is to be consistent. Once the learner knows where assessments can be found, they should be able return to the same location for future assessments.

One suggestion is to put all of your assessments in Quizzes and Tests, which can be found in the content area of the control panel screen. This way if a student chooses to they can click on the Quizzes and Test button and go directly to your assessment. To deploy an assessment, click on Quizzes and Tests in the Control Panel screen.

In Quizzes and Tests, click on the Add Test icon, located in the gray bar at the top of the screen.

If you need to create a new test, click on create. To find out how to create a simple assessment return to the Blackboard tutorials and click on Creating a Basic Quiz. If you have already created your quiz, select the quiz from the pull down menu.

Because we never know what kind of internet connection a student may have, it is best to deliver all the questions at once, rather than each question requiring a download. You can still randomize the how the questions are delivered using either presentation mode.

Once all of your selections have been made, click on Submit to deploy your quiz.
