To add questions, log on to Blackboard, select your course and click on Control Panel.

In the Control Panel screen, locate Assessment. The method for adding questions is the same for Tests, Surveys, and the Pool Manager.

See the tutorial Creating a Question Pool so you can create your questions using this tool and then use them over and over again. Just a reminder to set the Creation Settings also, since there may be questions that you want to add links to. To add an Ordering question, select Ordering from the Add question pull down menu and click on the Go button.

Enter your statement for the question.

Select the appropriate options. You can determine the type of answer numbering that you would like by using the drop down menu, for example, Arabic numerals, Roman numerals, Uppercase letters or Lowercase letters. Select the number of answers you will need from the number of answers drop down menu and then enter your answers to the questions in the correct order. The number of answers should be equal to the number of step in the ordering process. For example, if there is a ten-step process or procedure students must follow to create project, then there would be 10 answers.

Once you have entered the process or procedure steps, click on the Next button to finish the question.

You can control the order in which the answers are presented. Using the pull down menu associated with each item you can manipulate the order; you are able to set the display order for the questions.

Feedback is your opportunity to reinforce correct responses or to give corrective feedback.
Enter Correct Response Feedback.

Incorrect Response Feedback:

When you have finished adding text and assigning the presentation order, click on Submit to add the question.

A new screen appears in the Pool Manager and your ordering question has now been created.
