Creating a Basic Quiz

To create a basic quiz, log on to Blackboard, select the course you want to work with, and click on Control Panel in the lower left of the screen.

In the control panel screen, click on Test Manager.

When Test Manager opens, click on the Add Test icon in the gray bar at the top of the screen.

When creating a quiz in Blackboard you first need to give it a unique name.  This will help identify the quiz both in delivering the quiz and in the Grade Book.  It is also helpful for students if you include a short description and concise instructions for the quiz.

In this first step you are basically creating a holder for questions.  Later you will need to create questions, all of which are covered in separate tutorials.

After you have filled in the desired information click on Submit to create the quiz.

Now that you have created a quiz, you will need to add questions.  To see how questions are created, please return to the tutorials and select the needed tutorials.
