Enable Students to View Gradebook

When you create quizzes and assignments entries are automatically created in the grade book.  However, if not properly setup the students will not be able to view their grades.  If you want the students to be able to view their own grades the following procedures should be followed.

You will need to log on to Blackboard, enter your course and click on Control Panel in the lower left of the screen.

In the control panel screen locate the Course Options area and click on the Manage Tools link.

In the Manage Tools screen click on the Enable Blackboard Tools link.

When the Enable Blackboard Tools screen opens, scroll down and find Gradebook and confirm that it is enabled (checkmark in box).

Return to the Control Panel screen, and in the Course Options area, click on the Manage Course menu link.

In the Manage Course Menu you may need to scroll down to find the Tools Area.  Click on modify.

Confirm that View Grades has been enabled.

Students will now be able to access their grades from the Tools area in the course.
