Before recycling your course please read this tutorial carefully and if you need any additional information, please contact one of the Instructional Design Specialists.
Recycling a course (in the most basic terms) means erasing it. For example, if you have been working on a course in a development site and you have successfully moved it to your regular course site, you can recycle the development site to clear it out and make way for the development of a new course.
To Recycle a course log on to Blackboard, enter the course you want to recycle and click on Control Panel in the lower left of the screen.

Locate the Course Options area in the control Panel screen and click on the Recycle Course link.

In some rare instances Blackboard will post warnings in a red font. This is one of those instances. This process can not be reversed, so be careful when using this function.
To Recycle parts or the total course click on the appropriate check boxes.

The second section of the screen is focused more on student interaction and course set-up. Click on any or all of the items you want to recycle.

There is one safeguard in place to avoid the accidental recycling of your course. You must type "Remove" exactly as you see it on the screen.

Once Remove has been entered you can click on Submit to finish the recycling process.
Once the course is recycled you will receive a confirmation screen. Click on the OK button to return to the Control Panel screen.
