Blackboard Test Settings

Once the test has been created, from the Control Panel, click on Test Manager. You will notice that the test is listed, along with the date of creation. However, the test has not been deployed to the course yet.

Click on the Control Panel from the breadcrumb trail to return to the Control Panel.

You will have to decide where the test will be placed. Remember, that a test can be included in a folder, and you should select Course Documents from the Control Panel. Once you have located where you would like to place the test, click on the Test button.

You will now see the Add Test dialogue box.  If you have already created a test, you will merely select it from the text box area. If you have not created the test, you may do so at this time.

Since we have already created the test, all we need to do is highlight the test. Make sure that the test name changes colors.

After the test is selected, or highlighted, click the Submit button.

You have now added a test. Once you click the OK button, you will have the option to modify the test.

There are 2 options after a test has been added.

First, we will look at the options for Modify the test. These are also test creation settings. Click on the link for Modify the test.

Click on Creation Settings.

You are now presented with options, such as feedback for individual answers (instead of for the question), and other options.

After updating your choices, click Submit.

You will now see the settings.

And now, you see that the test has been deployed.

Now, let's look at other test options.

These options may be useful to you. They are presented in sections.  The second section, as displayed here, allows you to set the test window, time limit, and number of attempts you will permit.

Section three is focused on feedback.  As a note, if you do not include feedback when the test questions are created, there will be no feedback displayed to the student.

Section four covers how the test will be presented, whether or not the students can re-visit questions, and whether or not the test will be presented in a random order. After you have set all of your chosen options, press the submit button.

The test has now been added to your Blackboard Course, options set for the display of the test.
