Statistical and Research Design

CIRT is leading the charge to provide faculty and graduate students support in developing and executing complex research programs. We will facilitate their use of information technology in research, specifically software for statistical analyses, qualitative data analyses, graphing and reference database management. CIRT provides consultation expertise and training at no cost in various support areas to make researchers to be more effective and efficient with their studies.

In conjunction with the University Testing Office, CIRT also provides general survey consultation to faculty and graduate students for the design and instrument selection for their surveys.

ISU has a variety of statistical and research software packages available. Windows and Macintosh versions of the software are available for selected packages. Some of the packages also have enough licenses to be suitable for classroom use.

In addition, a Mailing List has been established to facilitate the sharing of ideas and issues concerning the advancement of research at Indiana State University. It is open to anyone who is interested in any topic(s) pertaining to research.

We maintain a reference lists of "Research and Subject Guide for Users" to make both qualitative and quantitative research and design easy for users in various disciplines. This page is updated regularly and you can submit suggestions by sending email to it-research@indstate.edu. We are excited about providing these services to you and encourage you to make an appointment with us today.
