The packaging minor is open to all majors.
The minor is beneficial to anyone involved with design, manufacturing, or transportation. Course work includes the basics of packaging design, testing, and management. The minor is an excellent way to increase your employability and supplement skills and abilities.
The packaging minor includes 18 credit hours of course work. If you are majoring in mechanical engineering technology or technology management, you may apply course work within those majors toward completion of the packaging minor.
The Packaging Program is accredited by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
The packaging minor includes 18 credit hours of course work. Students majoring in Technology Management or Mechanical Engineering Technology may apply coursework within the major toward completion of the packaging minor.

Packaging Minor
Eligibility
The packaging minor is open to all students (except packaging majors). To complete the minor, a grade of C (or higher) is required in all courses. In addition, you must fulfill the University's requirements for graduation with a bachelor's degree, including successful completion of a major.
Note: If you wish to enroll in one (or more) packaging courses - but do not intend to pursue a bachelor's degree - you may apply to the University as a non-degree student. Registration is on a space available basis. For details, contact the Office of Distance Support Services at 1-888-237-8080.
General Guidelines for Credit Transfer
Indiana State University accepts credit from many regionally accredited institutions.
The following are general guidelines for credit transfer. Upon admission, academic advisors review transcripts to determine which credit transfers and which courses will be included in your program of study.
- Credit earned from regionally accredited colleges or universities is transferable.
- Transfer credit is assigned only for courses in which you have earned a grade of C or higher.
- Generally, an equivalent number of credit hours are given.
- In some cases, credit may be transferable to the University, but may not be applied toward completion of the packaging minor.
- Remedial, audited, or non-credit classes do not transfer.
- College living, orientation, and study skills classes do not transfer.
