Ask Us!Accessing Web Courses
Indiana State University web courses may be delivered via one of the following formats:
- WebCT
- Blackboard
- Independent course
Some web courses are accessible before the first day of classes. Others will not be accessible until the first day. If this is not the case, contact your instructor.
To access your web courses, we recommend the following:
Step 1: Log on to the MyISU Portal at https://isuportal.indstate.edu. Log-on instructions are posted on the Portal site.
Note: You will need a Sycamore Login and Password to log on to the MyISU Portal. Once admitted, your Sycamore Login and Password are mailed to you via regular postal service. If you have questions, contact the Office of Distance Support Services at (812) 237-8080 or 1-888-237-8080.
Step 2: Click on the "My Courses" tab.
Step 3: Click on the appropriate course.
- If the instructor uses WebCT, you will be taken directly to the course home page.
- If the instructor uses Blackboard, you will be directed to the Blackboard Welcome page. From this page, click on "Login." Now, you will be on the actual Blackboard login page. From this page, enter your Sycamore Login and Password to access your course.
- If the instructor has developed an Independent Course, you may be taken directly to the course home page or be provided with the URL (address) for the course. If this is not the case, contact your instructor for log-on instructions. You also may contact the Office of Distance Support Services at (812) 237-8080 or 1-888-237-8080.
