Kimberly Reedy, a junior social work major from Middlebury, Ind., is one of 11 sorority women from the United States and Canada participating in the Women in Leadership Service Immersion Experience May 23-28.
Reedy, a member of Delta Gamma sorority as well as president of the Student Social Work Association, will travel to New Orleans for the trip sponsored by the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values and The Leadership Institute - Women With Purpose.
This experience brings together women for a week of exploration in women's leadership, service, cultural immersion, and values-based decision making. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore their inner leader while serving, including service with the New Orleans Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, dynamic discussions, group activities, and hands-on skill development.
