Recipient

Brittany Edmonson is a traditional BS student entering her senior year in nursing school. She currently works at Union Hospital Terre Haute and Clinton in order to gain the necessary skills to be the best possible nurse she can be. Brittany decided to work in the health field when her younger brother was born thirteen weeks premature at Riley Children's Hospital. Seeing the nurses every day work to save her brother inspired her to give back and do the same for someone else in the future. Brittany plans to work at Riley Children's Hospital after graduation and to provide the same exceptional care to her patients that her family received. She also plans to continue her education at Indiana State University to obtain her Master of Science degree with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner. She would not be able to do this without the support of her family and the gracious donor, Burnita Hershfield. She would like to give a sincere thank you to all of the ISU faculty and professors who made this possible as well.
