User Accounts

Students

Upon admission, a Sycamore Login and Password will be created for all students. Information on how to get your password reset are available here: MyISU Portal Password Information.

MyISU (Portal / E-mail)

The MyISU Portal (https://isuportal.indstate.edu/) is a secure network environment for all Indiana State community members. It is the gateway for students and faculty to access official University information. Your can use your Sycamore Login and Password to access this resource.

Check Your MyMail E-mail
Did You Know MyMail E-mail:
  • Is an official Indiana State method of communication to all students?
  • Is the only E-mail account recognized for official Indiana State business?
  • Is designated in a policy as an official form of communication? (See policy on on page 17.)

Read your MyMail E-mail account at least once a week and more often if you really want to be in the know about your campus!

Personal Web Pages (Sapphire)

All registered students receive a 20MB Web account on the student Web server named Sapphire for personal Web pages. You can access your account using your Sycamore Login and Password. For more information, For more information please click here

Network Printer and Storage (Novell)

All registered students have a network printing and storage account with 100MB of storage space. In addition this account gives you the ability to print to the public printers around campus.  You can access your account using your Sycamore Login and Password.

If you have problems accessing any of your accounts, forget your password, or have any questions about your account, please contact the Help Desk.

Faculty and Staff

Network Printer, Storage and E-mail

New faculty and staff are entitled to a network printing and storage account (Novell) with 250MB of storage space as well as a GroupWise account for E-mail. Accounts are created automatically for new employees once they are entered into the Banner system as being a new employee. The account information will match the Sycamore Login and password (the MyISU portal accounts).

Web pages

All employees are entitled to space on a Web server for personal, departmental, and/or instructional web pages. Contact the Help Desk to request an account. For more information please visit the web accounts help page.
