For Parents and Families of First Year Students

The first year of college is one of excitement, challenges, and changes.

Listed below are links to services frequently requested by students and their families during this important first year.

Special programs include Fall Welcome, a four-day transition program held during the first week of classes for new freshman and transfer students.

Another very special program is Family Day. Enjoy and learn about activities and opportunities for you and your student on campus. There's something for everyone -- campus tours, games, Bingo, activities for younger siblings, food and of course, football.

Homecoming is a week long celebration for students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff. Annual events such as the Torch Light Parade, Sycamore Tricycle Derby, Blue and White Parade, Tent City and Football Game create an exciting time. Regardless of whether you attended ISU, everyone's a Sycamore during Homecoming!

Hope to see you on campus!
