Dr. Smidley holds a
doctorate from the Department of Recreation
and Park Administration at Indiana
University. He is a member of the
National
Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and
the Indiana
Park and Recreation Association (IPRA).
In addition to being Chairperson of the
department, he is director of the
Center for Recreation Management. Dr.
Smidley has done extensive consulting in the
areas of recreation facilities and swimming pool management.
