PIKES & PARTNERS Promote POUNDS for the PANTRY
The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity in conjunction with the Office of
Recreational Sports are ONCE AGAIN sponsoring Pounds for the Pantry, a
campus wide initiative to promote weight loss while supporting
the local Catholic Charities Food Bank.

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity will donate .25 per pound of weight loss, up to 10,000lbs, to the Catholic Charities Food Bank of Terre Haute, for each respective pound of weight a student, faculty, staff, or member of the Student Recreation Center loses from January 14th through March 5, 2013. Advanced registrations are required.

Kick-Off and weigh-in days:
Monday, January 14, 2013 and Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Time: Between 7:00am and 7:00pm
Location: Student Recreation Center
/ Health Assessment Office
Final weigh-out:
Monday, March, 4th and Tuesday, March
5th, 2013
Time: Between 7:00am to 7:00pm.
All weigh-ins and outs will take place on a 1-to-1 basis, confidentially
in the Health Assessment Office.
Special Awards and Recognition
Awards will be given to
recognize divisional winners having the highest percentage of entries
participating in the Pounds for the Pantry program as well as divisional
winners losing the highest percentage of total weight loss. The divisions
are:

How to Participate and Register
1.
Registration forms are
available on the Recreation Sports page – Pounds for the Pantry tab.
Also, they are available at the Membership Services counter at the
Student Recreation Center.
Please complete the registration form and bring it with you when you
complete the initial weigh in.
2.
Come to the initial
weigh in Kick-Off event in the Student Recreation Center and complete your
official weigh-in on Monday, Jan. 14 or
Tuesday, Jan. 15 between
7:00am and 7:00pm.
Drawing for prizes will be available for participants participating
in the program.
3.
Come to the Student
Recreation Center - go to Health Assessment Room on 2nd floor. The room is
located at the top of the stairs, to your left. You will need to do
your final weigh-out on Monday, March 4 or Tuesday,
March 5, 2013 between 7:00am and 7:00pm.
