Burford Complex consists of two six-story residence halls including Burford and Pickerl Halls. Each hall is co-ed by floor and is directly connected to Sycamore Dining, a cafeteria style eatery managed by Sodexho Dining Services. Beginning in Fall of 2010, Pickerel Hall will be closed for renovations.
ISU residence halls have live-in professional staff (Area Directors), Graduate staff (Assistant Hall Directors), and student staff (Resident Assistants). The First Year Initiative Halls (Blumberg, Cromwell and Burford) have academically focused staff (Academic Peer Advocates) to assist first year students in their academic transition to the university. Each hall also has a 24-hour front desk operation to assist with student concerns.
Student rooms are equipped with free cable TV and both hardwire LAN and wireless internet is available. All residence halls are ADA accessible. Indiana State University is a smoke free campus including all of our residence halls. Telephone service will not be available in individual student rooms. However, there will be one emergency telephone located on each floor.
Burford Hall– is home to approximately 220 freshmen students.
Pickerl Hall- is home to appoximately 230 students
