Rhoads Hall

Rhoads Hall, located in the northwest corner of the four towers, is coed by floor and houses approximately 370 first year students.  It is part of the First Year Initiative (FYI) program.

  • Visitation hours:
    • Noon – 11:30 PM Sunday to Thursday
    • Noon – 2:30 AM Friday to Saturday

Amenities include:  air-conditioned TV lounges, laundry facilities, vending area and Sycamore Dining. Each room is equipped with one wired Ethernet outlet , basic cable TV, telephone jack (which can be activated for an additional monthly charge), and there is wireless internet service throughout the hall.

Rhoads offers double occupancy rooms and is coed by floor. Each room has a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet area for each resident. Beds in Rhoads can be bunked or student can rent a loft.

Each floor has a Resident Assistant (RA) who is there to assist the residents, program for the floor/hall and to make sure the floor is conducive for both studying and sleeping.  In addition, Rhoads Hall has Academic Peer Advocates (APAs) on each floor to assist first year students with their academic transition to ISU.  First year students find living in Rhoads Hall to be fun, convenient, and affordable (rates).
