Area Directors (AD): are full-time post masters administrative staff members who are responsibility for the overall programming and management functions of one or more residence halls. They supervise the Assistant Hall Directors, Resident Assistants, Academic Peer Advocates and student desk staff who work in their halls.

Assistant Hall Directors (AHD): are part-time live-in graduate student staff members. They share the overall responsibility for programming and management function of one hall. They assist with the supervision of the Resident Assistants (RA), Academic Peer Advocates (APA) and other student staff members within their hall.
Hall Director (HD): is a Full-time administrative staff position responsible for the programming and management function of University Apartments. They supervise the Community Assistants, Comment Center Coordinator and Community Center Monitors.

Resident Assistants (RA): are undergraduate student staff members who reside on a residence hall floor or in a stairwell. They are responsible for developing and maintaining a healthy community on the floor/stairwell by providing activities, interpreting and enforcement of policies and procedures, managing conflict, mediation, providing academic support and by serving as a resource to students. They are selected for their knowledge of Indiana State University, ability to accept responsibility, sensitivity and concern for others and their commitment to helping other students.
Academic Peer Advocates (APA): are undergraduate student staff members who reside within freshmen halls. They are responsible for assisting first-year students in their academic transition to Indiana State University by supporting, facilitating and promoting academic excellence and achievement. They are selected for their knowledge of Indiana State University, their academic success, their ability to role model academic achievement and their commitment to helping other students succeed.
Leadership Peer Advocates (LPA): are undergraduate student staff members who reside on the Leadership Learning Community (LLC) floors. They are responsible for assisting LLC members with their leadership skills and community service projects.
Night Hosts: are student staff members who are responsible for working when the front desk is closed. They are responsible for checking IDs of students entering the residence hall after hours.
Desk Receptionists: are student staff members who are responsible for the front desk operation of each residence hall.
Mail Clerks: are student staff members who are responsible for distribution of mail and packages that are delivered to the individual residence halls.
Housekeeping Staff: are full time employees who keep the public areas clean and clean vacant student rooms.
Maintenance Staff: are full time employees who keep the hall systems working properly, make general repairs to individual rooms and common areas, and respond to Work Order Requests.
