Academic Programs Abroad

Center for International educational exchange (ciee)

CIEE offers 118 programs in 40 countries with study centers in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Australia, and Latin America.  A Resident Director is on-site at each study center to supervise the program and assist students with academic, administrative, and day-to-day matters.  A number of locations offer service learning, field and volunteer opportunities.  In addition, since ISU is a member of CIEE, students can apply for merit-based as well as financial need scholarships.

What are the requirements?

Each study center has its own requirements as far as GPA and class standing.

How competitive is this program?

If requirements are met and the application is submitted by the deadline, then chances are very good of placement.  The competitive sites with limited spaces are in Prague, Czech Republic; Amman, Jordan; and Dakar, Senegal.

How do I apply?
