Short-term Study to Spain

Course Title-Symmetry in Mathematics, Science, and Art

Enroll in GH 301/MATH 490 spring semester with ISU Professor, Dr. Liz Brown

When-May 10-24, 2014

Earn 3 credit hours in a cross-listed course open to honors students, mathematics and mathematics education majors, any undergraduate student interested in the topic. The course will serve as an option for a required course in the University Honors Program, an elective in the Mathematics and Mathematics education majors and minors, and a free elective for other students.

Note: students can take the course without making the trip to Spain after the semester ends in May, but students MUST take the course in order to make the trip.

Course Title-Environmentally and Culturally Sustainable Local Economic Development in China (ECSLED)

Enroll in ECON 498/698, ENVI 497, or PSCI 480 Summer I with ISU professors, Drs. Stephen Aldrich, Michael Chambers, and John Conant

Earn 3 credit hours in a multi-disciplinary course in which hopes to provide students with valuable information regarding the environmental, cultural, and social consequences of local and national economic development in China and the politics surrounding those issues
