Community Involvement

Community outreach has been a consistent theme throughout the past decade. President Bradley has led the charge to connect campus with the Wabash Valley through service-focused initiatives and public art.

  • 2008 – Women of ISU founded by Cheri Bradley to support community women and scholarships for non-traditional female students; Partnered with Wabash River Development and Beautification Initiative
  • 2009 – Runner was dedicated as commitment to expansion of public art on campus
  • 2012 – Creation of the Community School of the Arts
  • 2013 - State ranked No. 1 in the nation for community service hours
  • 2015 – Added the 9th piece of public art to collection with instillation of Solar Sycamore, Created the division of University Engagement, Carnegie Foundation reaffirms State’s community engagement classification
  • 2016 - State wins inaugural Engaged Campus Award
