Blumberg Center Topicals: Classroom management, discipline

The focus of this session will be defining and understanding types of behaviors and their functions. Information regarding trauma informed teaching and trauma sensitive classrooms will be shared. A summary of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACES) will also be presented. Practical strategies for behavior management including the use of rules, routines, and procedures will also be examined. Sessions are FREE of charge; however, registration is required.

Indiana Court of Appeals Oral Argument

The Indiana Court of Appeals will hold oral argument in a pending case at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in Federal Hall, Magna Carta room of Federal Hall. The event is hosted by the Political Science Department and is part of the Court's Appeals on Wheels initiative to bring the Court to communities throughout the State. The event is open to students, faculty and the general public.

Her Color Shines 2018

The red carpet walk will be from 5:30-6 p.m. The program will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Her Color Shines was created to acknowledge and award young women of color (faculty, staff, and student) at Indiana State University for their exceptional leadership, academic performance, and resilience. This year, in addition to continue recognizing our Black and Hispanic women, women of Asian descent to this year’s program. This is a free event and open to the public.
