16th Annual Sycamore Video Expo

Come out for the 16th Annual Sycamore Video Expo! It is free and open to anyone! There will be refreshments and snacks provided while you watch all the hard work students have put into their videos. The theme this year is western so feel free to dress the part in your wildest western attire!

If you are interested in submitting a film to the video expo please contact Katie Schmidtke. Entries are due April 17 in an MP4 File format to Katie. The categories include promo, PSA, commercial, movie trailer, short form (2-5), music interpretation or long form (5-12).

Movie: Hester Street

Part of Women¹s History Month Colloquium. 

This black and white film, in Yiddish with English subtitles, is about assimilation and changing gender relations in an immigrant Jewish family in New York City at the turn of the century.

Solving the Mystery of Breast Cancer and Genetics

7 p.m. Lecture by Dr. Debra Collins, Cancer Center at the University of Kansas Medical Hospital. Part of Women's History Month Colloquium.

9th Annual "Women in Science Speaker".

Co-sponsored by the biology department, the Honors Program, Office of the President, the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, the Center for Community Engagement, and the department of sciences and mathematics at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
