OLLI at ISU: Homeless

The presentation will be on what homelessness looks like in Vigo County and how it impacts our community. Kelli will discuss the differences between living in non-habitable situations versus staying with friends/family, couch surfing and emergency shelters. Topics to be addressed include different homeless subpopulations; how an individual may become homeless; resources available; and some of the current gaps in addressing the needs of displaced persons and those who are at imminent risk. Learn about the findings of the annual Point-in-Time survey and why HUD (Housing and Urban Development) involved.
