Description
The summit will be a one-day conference intended to promote the University’s Inclusive Excellence pillar by offering inclusive education and programming to a growing LGBTQIA+ student population. The summit is based around the MBLGTACC conference held each February, and is considered the largest LGBTQIA+ conference in the midwest, drawing such speakers as Laverne Cox, offering a closer-to-home conference.
Attendees of the summit will engage with other like-minded peer and colleagues, expand upon their existing knowledge of LGBTQIA+ topics, and provide leadership and professional experience through presentations, workshops, and identity panels.
Admission to the summit will be free for all faculty, students, and staff of Indiana State University and other local institutions.
This summit is made possible through a partnership with Spectrum, the Office of Multicultural Services and Programs, and the LGBTQ Student Resource Center.
