Student Employment Opportunities in Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Physics employs a large number of students in the chemistry lecture rooms, teaching labs, stockroom, and Science Help Center. Entry-level positions include laboratory and stockroom assistants. Students who have completed several semesters of chemistry at ISU may also work as teaching assistants, Help Center tutors, and supplemental instructors.

Students should apply for positions during Priority Registration (in April for Fall courses, and in November for Spring courses). The Department will begin to make hiring decisions near the end of these registration periods. There may be additional hiring at the start of each semester, and hiring for the Summer terms.

If you have questions, contact Mitzi Nichols in the Chemistry Office (Science 035) or the Chairperson, Prof. Jennifer Inlow (Science 035N).
