  • My primary research interests focus on intercollegiate athletics, while I also study sociological issues in sport, revenue generation, and programming in residential summer camp settings.

Craig Morehead joined the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2018.  Prior to joining the faculty at Indiana State, Morehead taught at both Coastal Carolina University and Northern Illinois University.  He earned his PhD in Recreation and Sport Management from Old Dominion Univesity under the mentorship of Dr. Stephen Shapiro.  Prior to entering academia, Morehead was an Assistant Track & Field Coach (throws) at Western Kentucky University from 2005-2012.  He is the former editorial assistant for Sport Marketing Quarterly, and currently sits on the SMQ editorial board.
