Housing Fair

The Housing Fair is an annual, display-style event where anyone seeking information regarding off-campus housing options in the Terre Haute community are invited.  Each table will have a wide variety of information that will contribute to your search or decision-making process.  Free food and door prizes will be available.

Networking and Etiquette Dinner

Learn about and practice important networking and dining skills that will help you be successful in your career! Local employers will talk with students on how to effectively network by focusing on four topics: using social media in your job search, interviewing tips, proper dress, and professional communications. Students are provided with personalized business cards and given the opportunity to network with one another and the employers while exchanging their business cards. The evening ends with a formal five-course meal, while being educated about how to dine professionally.

Sigma Chi Derby Days

A talent based pageant composed of sororities performing skits/talents to raise money for Huntsman Cancer Institute. The pageant is open to the public and community engagement is encouraged to raise money for preventative cancer research! Tickets will be $5 and will be sold in the Hulman Memorial Student Union Commons and at the door. 

Workshop Wednesday: Advanced Resume and Cover Letter Writing

In order to have a truly excellent resume, it must go through editing and revision stages! This presentation discusses how to customize your resume and cover letters for specific jobs and internships to help your documents standout in the stack of applications, as well as how to expand resume content to show the impact made in previous positions. It is recommended that students bring a copy of their current resume (either hard copy or laptop) to get the most out of this hands on workshop.
