PHYS 105 General Physics I & Laboratory - 4 credits

An algebra-based introduction to physics with applications to other scientific disciplines. Topics include vectors, Newton's laws of motion in one and two dimensions, work and energy, momentum and collisions, and wave motion. This course requires proficiency in intermediate algebra; prior completions of Mathematics 111 or higher is strongly recommended.

Note:

This course applies toward completion of all undergraduate degree programs at Indiana State University.

In addition, this course is part of the Indiana Core Transfer Library and will transfer to all Indiana public college and university campuses, assuming adequate grades. For transfer to Indiana private colleges, contact the admissions office at the private college.

Most out-of-state public colleges and universities (and some private schools) will accept this course as transfer credit. However, students must contact the admissions office at the appropriate college or university to verify transferability and applicability of this particular course to their intended program of study.
