My name is Sandrine Mapokam. I am originally from Cameroon and have been in the United States for 10 years.I started my nursing career as a nurse assistant in Maryland while studying toward my bachelor’s degree in nursing and obtained it in 2016. After graduating, I moved to Virginia where I have been practicing as a Registered Nurse for 3 years. I am a charge RN at a dialysis center where I take care of patients with kidney failure. My passion for nursing has spurred me to want to further my education,thus I decided to applied at Indiana State University for the FNP program and got accepted. This is my second semester at Indiana. I am married and have 3 beautiful children-2 girls and 1 boy. During my spare time, I enjoy dancing, jogging, cooking, and playing with my kids. I don’t know much about gardening but would like to learn. I am eager to learn a lot from this online program and apply it to my future nursing career. Hello - I am standing in my home office in Jacksonville, NC where I currently live. I am from Florence, SC. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching developmental math as an adjunct math instructor at Coastal Carolina Community College for over 12 years. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Clemson University and this is my third semester at ISU. I thank God for my two awesome adult children, a wonderful daughter in love, a granddaughter coming soon and having been married to my best friend for 31 years. I am also grateful for my other family and friends.

Hailing from Ohio now living in Hawaii, I am an Army Engineer Officer stationed on the island of Oahu with my wife and son. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a BS in Mathematics I received my commission into the Army National Guard through the Army ROTC program. After spending a few years as an analyst in the financial sector my wife (Who is also in the Army) received orders for Hawaii. Now the Search and Extraction OIC for the Hawaii National Guard my primary specialty is in disaster management. I am pursuing a MA in Mathematics in hopes to one day teach.

I am an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development and Performance Technologies Department in the College of Technology at Indiana State University. I am also Program Director of the Master’s degree Human Resource Development (HRD) program. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses and carry out research in areas related to leadership, creativity, and experiential learning. I am a Fulbright Specialist having completed a Fulbright Exchange over the summer in 2017 at Seoul National University in the Republic of Korea. I have been an active member of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) since 2005 and am Associate Editor of Advances in Developing Human Resources (ADHR). I enjoy traveling, gardening, and cooking. One of my favorite places to visit is Italy, and I especially like growing lavender and rosemary plants.
