Disability Awareness Month: #RepresentationMatters

This workshop will offer a presentation and interactive discussion providing context about how disability is typically portrayed by the media and how this reinforces ableist stereotypes and perpetuates the stigma surrounding the disabled body and experience. To generate an even deeper level of understanding of #RepresentationMatters, the workshop presentation and discussion will illustrate authentic inclusive concepts related to disability from film, television, fashion, and toys.
