The Mura Indigenous & Their Fight to Protect the Amazon From Deforestation

Join the Honors College and Office of Sustainability in welcoming Alexandra McNichols-Torroledo to talk about the indigenous peoples of the Amazon and their ongoing fight. The Mura indigenous people from Brazil swore to drop the last drop of their blood to protect the Amazon rainforest from President Bolsonaro and his environmental policies. The destruction of the rainforest will release enormous quantities of greenhouse gases. Join our Honors College speaker in exploring this event.
