Just released to the public! This feature film is story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights, and the early cases of a historic career that lead to her nomination and confirmation as U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice.
Kate Forness and other members of the 2019 production will discuss this play by Eve Ensler, which sparked a global movement to end violence against women through art. Presentation will include some readings from the play.
Documentary description: Just over the border in Mexico is an area peppered with maquiladoras, massive sweatshops often owned by the world's largest multinational corporations. Carmen and Lourdes work at maquiladoras in Tijuana, and it is there that they try to balance the struggle for survival with their own radicalization in this documentary.
