Unionization: Reflecting on our past to change our future

The presentation discuss the history and reasoning behind unions in America along with the economic implications that they render. An analysis of wage differentials and membership comparisons across industries will offer an insight into how unions benefit its stakeholders. More specifically, the research on women in unions gives an even deeper understanding of how gender plays a role in wage and equal opportunity in the workplace. It is our hope that our presentation instills a new knowledge of how unions impact the labor market. Presented by Katrina Babb and ECON 351.
