Description

The Division of Student Affairs invites you to a keynote address by Jennifer Miracle-Best.. The event is free and open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Jennifer's purpose for visiting the campus is to provide training that will be focused on serving students in the LGBTQ+ community. In order to best serve students, Ms. Best think it's important that our student, faculty, and staff understand the climate that exists for trans identity students. Hergoal is to help us understand what trans identity students are experiencing  on our campus and how we can continue to make campus a safe and welcoming place for all students.

For many, the concept of transgender identity is incredibly hard to get their mind around. As humans, we tend to over-analyze and focus on things that really don't concern us when it comes to our differences. This session will help you to understand all you really need to know when it comes to understanding trans identity and providing a safe and inclusive space for our trans and gender non-conforming brothers & sisters.
