ISU Speaker Series: Carl Hiaasen

Carl Hiaasen, a well-known columnist for the Miami Herald and author of nine national best sellers, writing for both young and older adults. Hiaasen is known for his irreverent humor and the colorful characters that fill his books. His lectures offer audiences wickedly funny and fiercely pointed tales about his writing and his home state of Florida, as well as incisive commentary on environmental issues, modern culture, and corruption. He will be our concluding speaker for the series. His presentation is free and open to the public.
