Description
Indiana State University will host the 2014 Mid-America Prosperity and Security (MAPS) Conference Friday, Sept. 12, which focuses on sustainability as an economic development and security strategy for our region.
There is no fee for this conference, but registration is required; you can register and find more information on our website, Tinyurl.com/2014maps. MAPS is a group of regional leaders in sustainability, including universities (ISU, Ball State, IUPUI, IU Bloomington, Butler, and Purdue), representatives from the business community, civil servants, military personnel, farmers, and health advocates - all of whom are united to promote sustainability in our region toward full-spectrum security and economic prosperity.
The conference will include a student sustainability research expo. Contact Thomas.Steiger@indstate.edu if you have supervised student research germane to this event and would like your students to present to a regional audience.
There will be myriad opportunities for experiential learning; please consider incorporating this conference into your fall courses. For more information, contact Caroline.Savage@indstate.edu.
