Description

The department of communication presents Celebrating Health Communication with a panel discussion of experiences in research and practice followed by a Q&A. Panelists research interests include: metaphors; race and ethnicity; flu vaccine hesitation; depictions of health in the media; and opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. After a brief intermission, the keynote address is set to start at 5:30 p.m. An expert in social and behavioral change for the World Health Organization, Dr. John Parrish-Sprowl will present Communication for Whole Health. The event is free and open to the public.
