TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State Students learned a bit about prosecuting white collar crimes today.
The university hosted “The Adrian Project”, a program run by the IRS, to teach criminology and security studies students about solving financial crimes.
The students assisted in every step of catching the faux suspect. They presented a probable cause affidavit, deployed warrants and finally apprehended the suspect.
The IRS agents running the project say that they hope what they do, will inspire students to pursue a career path that they wouldn’t have previously considered.
