Derick UngerDerick Unger serves as NuLegacy Gold’s Chief Geologist. Mr. Unger is responsible for directing all phases of exploration for Carlin-type gold deposits which includes planning district-wide geophysical and geochemical surveys, planning and execution of drill programs, supervising creation and maintenance of the exploration database, and training all geology staff in 3-D modeling techniques and is the Qualified Person with respect to NI 43-101 criteria. Mr. Unger Directed all phases of district and near-mine exploration for six active mines at Nyrstar Tennessee Mines; he has also worked for Newmont Mining and Victoria Gold.

Mr. Unger earned a BS in Geology from Indiana State University where he taught lab courses in economic geology, igneous and metamorphic petrology, mineralogy, environmental geology, and physical geology. His M.S. comes from Auburn University.
