Hispanic Heritage Month: Argentina - Breaking Sterotypes from North to South

During this presentation, Dr. Calvin will show digital images from her extensive travels from the Bolivia border to Patagonia, in Argentina, the largest Spanish-speaking country in South America. In addition she will discuss distinctions in the Spanish spoken there, cultural traditions, taboo topics, and immigration to this intriguing county.

Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and by people of Mexican ancestry living in the United States. It focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.

The Case for Christ (Movie)

In 1980, Lee Strobel's (Mike Vogel) award-winning, investigative reporting earns him a promotion to legal editor at the Chicago Tribune. Things at home aren't going nearly as well. His wife Leslie's (Erika Christensen) newfound faith in Christ compels Lee to utilize his journalistic and legal training to try and disprove the claims of Christianity, pitting his resolute atheism against her growing faith.
