School Funding? Casino? Informed Voting on the 2019 Ballot Measures

In the upcoming election, voters will be asked to do more than select candidates for public office. Learn about the role of ballot measures in affecting public policy and explore the specifics on the two proposed ballot measures in Vigo County—the casino and the public education measures. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a neutral, nonpartisan community conversation designed to aid in making informed decisions in the November election. This is hosted by the American Democracy Project.

55:1 Free Lunch Monday

55:1 Free Lunch Monday is today and we will be cooking hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers in the parking lot. Fill your sack lunch with a sandwich, chips, dessert, fruit and a bottle of water. As always, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are available. The church is located on the corner of Eagle Street and Seventh at 301 North 7th Street. Everyone is welcome and it is free. Please bring a friend and stop by to enjoy a free lunch and fellowship. The free lunch is served the fourth Monday of every month (except in December and it will be during Finals Week.)
