Essentials of Teaching: Strategies and Suggestions for Success

This presentation will include an overview of information acquired by the presenter from various sessions of the 2024 Teaching Professor Conference in New Orleans, an experience that was sponsored through a grant from the FCTE. This interactive presentation will include a discussion of the essential elements of teaching as well as practical strategies and activities that can be implemented in the classroom. The session will be led by JoEllen Henson, Department of Social Work.

AACC Annual Street Fair

The Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center is hosting our community-wide street fair to introduce our new freshmen and transfer students to organizations, departments, and community-based entities that cater to the unique needs of minoritized students. This is also our welcome back gathering for our returning students, staff, and faculty.
