Jam the Bus Food Drive

Indiana State University is hoping to fill an athletic bus in order to help feed the less fortunate this holiday season.  Cans, non-perishable food items, and monetary donations will be collected during the annual “Jam the Bus” food drive for Catholic Charities.  Last year, Indiana State University collected more than 8 tons of non-perishable food donations. Students are hoping to collect the same amount again this year.

Terre Haute Polar Plunge

The sixth annual Terre Haute Polar Plunge is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15.  The fundraiser for Special Olympics Indiana will take place on Hulman Center's south patio in conjunction with Indiana State University’s annual Sycamore Hoopla weekend. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. with plunging beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Coffeehouse

Baptist Collegiate Ministry invites you to a (free) coffeehouse on Saturday, November 9, at 7 pm.  There will be all kinds of coffee, hot chocolate, cider, and tea, as well as many yummy deserts.  Come enjoy the food, the company, and the entertainment.  The BCM is at 800 N 6th Street, that's across the tracks, one block north of Lincoln Quad.

Saving Lives at Home and Overseas: How Health Communication Works in Public Health

Marsha Vanderford, associate director for communication in the Center for Global Health at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, will speak on the Indiana State University campus Friday at 1 p.m. Nov. 8 in Holmstedt Hall 103. The title of her is “Saving Lives at Home and Overseas: How Health Communication Works in Public Health.”
