This documentary examines the patterns inherent in TV's disturbing depictions of working class as either clowns or social deviants - stereotypical portrayals that reinforce the myth of meritocracy.

A reception to celebrate the opening of the University Art Gallery's newest exhibit will take place Friday, November 8th, 4:00-6:00 pm. On display from November 4 to 15, Clara & the Red Hat: MFA Thesis Exhibition, encapsulates one ISU student’s ability to reach children for literacy. The bright, interactive and creative display sparks the imagination and shows how art can be a useful tool in the educational world.
