Sensitive Guys

by MJ Kaufman

Directed by Heidi Winters Vogel

October 17-20, 2024

Genre: Drama, Contemporary

Description: Will is a freshman at Watson college. Jordan is a senior film major. Tyler is writing a novel for his thesis. They are all members of the Men’s Peer Education group. At meetings they spend hours unpacking questions like: “what is male privilege? And what can we do about it?” They love each other and the group. Until some accusatory posters start appearing around campus suggesting that a member of the group committed sexual assault. Could it be that even sensitive guys, guys working on their privilege sometimes turn violent or aggressive? In this play women and gender non-conforming people play men trying to understand the intricacies of masculinity and violence.

Ticket Policies

Change Tickets

If you need to change the date of your tickets, please e-mail isu-theater@indstate.edu or call (812) 237-3333 and we will be happy to make the change. Please note, Ticketmaster (owner of the Universe ticketing platform) will not allow us to exchange tickets from one show to another. We can only change tickets for the same event.

Donate Tickets

If you purchased tickets that you will not use, please let the box office know and we will donate it to a student.

Wait List

When a performance is sold out, we start selling “standby” tickets one (1) hour before each performance in person, at the theatre box office only. If someone with seats for the performance doesn’t show up by show time, a Standby Ticket holder takes their place in the theatre. You must pay for your ticket to be put on the waiting list. If there are not enough cancellations or no-shows at curtain time for you to be seated, we’ll immediately issue a refund of your “Standby” ticket or help you select another available performance of the same show. Each member of your party must be present (or near the lobby) when your name is announced, or your “Standby” ticket will be immediately refunded and the next patron on the list will be announced.

FAQs

Can I exchange my tickets for another date of the same show?

Yes! Please e-mail isu-theater@indstate.edu or call (812) 237-3333 and we will be happy to make the change.

Can I change my tickets to a different show?

No. Tickets can only be changed to a different date for the same show.

Does my infant need a ticket?

Yes, everyone needs a ticket. Even if a small child will sit on your lap, the Fire Marshall counts them as a person occupying our space.

How good are my chances of getting in using the Wait List?

It just depends on where you are on the list and how many people don’t show up for the show. We make no guarantees, but there are usually a few no-shows at each performance.

Can I get on the Wait List earlier than one (1) hour before the show I'm trying to attend?

No. At some performances, patrons might line up outside earlier than 1 hour, but will not be permitted to sign up until the lobby doors open.

Can I buy a Wait List Ticket, leave to eat dinner, and come back?

You can, but we don’t recommend it. If you’re not present when your name clears the Wait List, you forfeit your place in line.

Who Can I E-mail or Call With Questions About the Wait List?

If you have questions about our Wait List / Standby Tickets / Cancellations, please e-mail isu-theater@indstate.edu or call (812) 237-3333. But…please don’t ask to be added to a wait list by phone, e-mail, or in advance…we simply cannot do it, and it makes our theatre ghosts very sad.
